SKOR CAKE RECIPE - (4/5)

Skor Cake Recipe - (4/5) image

Provided by jolofson

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 oackage chocolate fudge or german chocolate cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
1 tub (12 ounce) cool whip topping
5-6 skor candy bars, refrigerated

Steps:

  • Bake cake according to package directions. As soon as the cake is done, poke holes throughout the cake about an inch apart from each other with the handle end of a wooden spoon,. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly in the holes, then pour the caramel evenly in the holes. Refrigerate cake overnight. Spread cool whip over the refrigerated cake. Break up refrigerated skor bars before opening the wrappers. Then spread broken candy bars evenly over the cool whip. Keep refrigerated until served.

Tips:

  • To ensure your Skor fudge turns out perfectly, use a heavy saucepan and a candy thermometer. This will help you control the temperature of the mixture and prevent it from burning.
  • Make sure to stir the mixture constantly while it is cooking. This will help to prevent it from sticking to the pan and scorching.
  • Once the mixture has reached the soft ball stage (235 degrees Fahrenheit), remove it from the heat and immediately stir in the butter, vanilla extract, and Skor bits. This will help to prevent the fudge from crystallizing.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into a prepared pan and let it cool completely before cutting it into squares. This will help to ensure that the fudge is firm and doesn't crumble.
  • To store the fudge, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container. It can be stored at room temperature for up to two weeks or in the refrigerator for up to four weeks.

Conclusion:

Skor fudge is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover Skor bars and it is sure to be a hit with your friends and family. With its rich chocolate flavor and crunchy Skor pieces, Skor fudge is a classic dessert that everyone will love.
