2 pounds ground beef
2 celery ribs, chopped
1 small green pepper, finely chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
DOGS:
16 hot dogs
16 hot dog buns, split
Optional: Warmed cheese dip and grilled onions

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook the beef, celery, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato soup, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, salt and garlic powder; heat through., Grill hot dogs, covered, over medium heat for 6-10 minutes or until heated through, turning occasionally. ½ cup chopped celery
¼ cup chopped onion
½ (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
2 ½ tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons white vinegar
¾ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
8 hot dogs
8 hot dog buns, split and toasted

1 1/2 lb ground round
1 6-oz. can tomato paste
1 garlic clove, minced
1 Tbsp worchestershire sauce
1 c spicy, fruity cola soft drink (such as dr. pepper)
1/2 c jarred sliced pepperoncini salad peppers
ground red pepper to taste
8 hot dog buns or hoagie rolls
store-bought coleslaw

Steps:

  • 1. Saute onion in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 4-5 minutes or until onions are caramel colored.
  • 2. Add ground beef to skillet, and cook over medium-high heat, stirring often, 5-6 minutes or until meat crumbles and is no longer pink; drain.
  • 3. Return beef mixture to skillet. Stir in tomato paste and next 2 ingredients, and cook, stirring occasionally, 3-4 minutes or until mixture thickens and color darkens.
