SLOW COOKER BBQ CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Drumsticks image

I wanted a recipe for chicken legs in the slow cooker, so I searched many recipes and finally found two that I meshed together to get the perfect BBQ chicken legs. My family loved them, and the texture and flavor of the chicken was awesome! This 2-step process is what makes it so great-the slow cooker keeps the chicken very juicy, and then finishing it in the oven crisps up the skin without drying up the chicken.

  • Season the chicken well: Use a flavorful blend of spices and herbs to enhance the taste of the chicken.
  • Cook the chicken on low heat: This will help the chicken to cook evenly and prevent it from drying out.
  • Use a variety of cooking methods: You can bake, roast, or grill the chicken drumsticks to achieve different flavors and textures.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: Make sure there is enough space between the chicken drumsticks so that they can cook evenly.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chicken is cooked through: The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C) before it is safe to eat.
