Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (10 pound) boneless turkey breast
2 (1 ounce) packages dry onion soup mix
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon seasoned salt (such as Season-All(R))
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano

Steps:

  • Place turkey breast into a large slow cooker. Whisk onion soup mix and water in a bowl and pour the mixture over the turkey breast, spreading it out to evenly cover the meat. Stir garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, seasoned salt, basil, and oregano in a bowl until thoroughly combined; sprinkle the seasonings over the turkey breast. Cook on Low until turkey is very tender and the seasonings have flavored the meat, 8 to 9 hours. An instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast, not touching bone, should read at least 165 degrees F (75 degrees C).

Tips:

  • Choose the right turkey breast: Look for a boneless, skinless turkey breast that is between 3 and 4 pounds. A larger turkey breast will take longer to cook.
  • Season the turkey breast well: Rub the turkey breast with a mixture of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and any other desired seasonings. This will help to flavor the turkey breast as it cooks.
  • Add some liquid to the slow cooker: This will help to keep the turkey breast moist as it cooks. You can use water, chicken broth, or vegetable broth.
  • Cook the turkey breast on low for 6-8 hours: This will ensure that the turkey breast is cooked through and tender. You can also cook the turkey breast on high for 3-4 hours, but it is important to check the internal temperature of the turkey breast to make sure that it has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit before serving.
  • Let the turkey breast rest before carving: This will help to keep the juices in the turkey breast and prevent it from drying out.

Conclusion:

Cooking a boneless turkey breast in a slow cooker is a great way to get a delicious and moist meal with minimal effort. By following these tips, you can ensure that your turkey breast turns out perfectly cooked and flavorful.
