Tips:

  • Prep Asparagus Properly: Trim the asparagus spears by snapping off the tough ends. This will ensure that the asparagus cooks evenly.
  • Choose the Right Cheese: Use a cheese that melts well, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or Parmesan. You can also use a combination of cheeses for a more complex flavor.
  • Don't Overcook the Asparagus: Asparagus should be cooked until it is tender but still has a slight crunch. Overcooked asparagus will become mushy.
  • Season to Taste: Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. You can also add other seasonings, such as onion powder, paprika, or cayenne pepper.
  • Serve Immediately: Cheesy asparagus is best served immediately after it is cooked. This will ensure that the cheese is melted and gooey.
