1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped green onions (8 medium)
2 tbsp (25 mL) sliced green onions (2 medium)

Steps:

1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa
1 1/2 c onion, chopped
1 box au gratin potatoes
3 c hot water
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 c carrots, chopped
20 oz bag(s) chopped broccoli
3 c sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • 1. Cook sausage and onion in oil until onion is tender. In the meantime, run frozen broccoli under running hot water to thaw.
  • 2. Add potatoes, water and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes.
