1 1/2 cups and 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar (separated)

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line cookie sheets with silpats or parchment paper.
  • Use a fork to combine the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar with the 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. Fresh, quality ingredients will result in a better-tasting cookie. If you can, use organic flour, sugar, and butter.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help to incorporate air into the dough, making the cookies light and airy.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help to prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the cookies at 375°F for 10-12 minutes. The cookies should be golden brown around the edges and just set in the center.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving. This will help to prevent the cookies from breaking.
