1 1/2 c confectioners' sugar
4 bananas, sliced
1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (16 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
12 oz crushed peanuts

  • 3. Layer bananas and pineapple over cream cheese mixture; cover fruit with whipped topping.
  • 4. Top with cherries and chopped nuts; refrigerate and serve chilled.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe bananas. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your cake will be.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help to incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a lighter and more tender cake.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. This will help to prevent the batter from curdling.
  • Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. This will help to ensure that they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. This will help to prevent the batter from becoming too thick or too thin.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven. This will help to ensure that the cake rises evenly.
  • Cool the cake completely before frosting it. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
  • Use your favorite frosting recipe. There are many different frosting recipes that you can use to top your banana split cake. Some popular options include cream cheese frosting, chocolate frosting, and vanilla frosting.
