2/3 cup chopped pitted green olives
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup dry red wine or beef broth
1 tablespoon Louisiana-style hot sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
Hot cooked rice

  • In a Dutch oven, cook the beef, peppers, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. ¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons kosher salt, or to taste
½ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 (14.5 ounce) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes, with juice
1 (14.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes, preferably fire-roasted
2 cups chopped onions
2 medium carrots, cut into 1/2-inch rounds
2 medium green bell peppers, seeded and chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ tablespoons sweet paprika
1 tablespoon smoked Spanish paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 large bay leaves
1 ½ cups frozen green peas
⅔ cup pitted green olives, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
½ medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes

1 ½ teaspoons sweet paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cumin
