SPICY PUMPKIN PIE II
This is for all the people who don't like pumpkin pie. I don't like pumpkin pie either, but this one's different. It's so spicy!! It has become a much anticipated family custom. It's best to make your own pie shell instead of using the ready made kind because they aren't deep enough. This recipe is easily doubled.

My family apparently likes their pumpkin pie with more flavor than most people. I've tried a few of the most popular pumpkin pie recipes on this site and I get "It doesn't taste right", or "It tastes like something's missing". Anyway, here's my version.

LIGHT AND SPICY PUMPKIN PIE TARTS
These are so light and delicious, they give a new spin to traditional pumpkin pie! These are great to bring to potlucks and parties. They are a real eye catcher with a dollop of whipped cream on top. The batter can also be poured into a 9 inch pie shell rather than the tart shells.

Mom's recipe. Best in the world. Just the right amount of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Best when served with whipped cream.

Tips for Making the Best Spicy Pumpkin Pie
- Fresh Pumpkin Puree: Use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor. Canned pumpkin puree can be used, but fresh pumpkin puree gives the pie a richer, more pumpkin-like flavor.
- Don't Overmix: Overmixing the batter can result in a tough, dense pie. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
- Blind Bake: Blind baking the pie crust prevents the crust from becoming soggy. To blind bake the crust, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line the pie crust with parchment paper and fill it with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Measure Spices Accurately: The spices in this pie are what give it its unique flavor. Be sure to measure the spices accurately to get the perfect balance of flavors.
- Let the Pie Cool Completely: Before serving the pie, let it cool completely. This allows the flavors to meld and the pie to set properly.
Conclusion
This spicy pumpkin pie is a delicious and unique twist on a classic Thanksgiving dessert. The combination of sweet pumpkin, warm spices, and a hint of heat is sure to please everyone at your table. Follow these tips to make the best spicy pumpkin pie possible. You won't be disappointed!
