Tips:

  • Choose the right zucchini: Select medium-sized zucchini that are firm and have smooth skin. Avoid zucchini that are too large or have blemishes.
  • Hollow out the zucchini properly: Use a spoon or melon baller to hollow out the zucchini. Be careful not to scoop too much of the flesh, as you want the zucchini boats to be sturdy enough to hold the filling.
  • Cook the zucchini boats thoroughly: Bake the zucchini boats until they are tender and slightly browned. This will help to bring out the flavor of the zucchini and prevent it from becoming watery.
  • Don't overcrowd the zucchini boats: When filling the zucchini boats, be sure not to overcrowd them. Otherwise, the filling will not cook evenly.
  • Use a variety of fillings: There are endless possibilities when it comes to filling zucchini boats. Some popular options include ground beef, sausage, chicken, rice, beans, and vegetables.
  • Top with your favorite toppings: Once the zucchini boats are filled, top them with your favorite toppings. Some popular options include cheese, sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
