SPINACH AND PEAR SALAD WITH POMEGRANATE DRESSING

Spinach and Pear Salad With Pomegranate Dressing image

If you've never cut open a pomegranate, you might be in for a messy surprise. The best way to get the seeds out with out staining your clothes and counter is to cut the fruit in half, and then submerge it in a bowl of water. Then you can use your fingers to remove the white pith, releasing the juicy seeds. Once you've freed all the pomegranate seeds, pour the contents of the bowl into a colander and transfer the seeds to a paper towel to dry. If you don't have white balsamic vinegar, you can use the regular kind. -- from the book Feed the Belly.

### Tips - **Use fresh ingredients**: The fresher your ingredients, the better your salad will taste. This is especially important for the spinach and pears. - **Don't overdress the salad**: A little bit of dressing goes a long way. You can always add more dressing if you need it, but it's hard to take it away once you've added too much. - **Let the salad rest for a few minutes before serving**: This will allow the flavors to meld together. - **Serve the salad cold**: This will help the flavors to stay crisp and refreshing. - **Add some extra crunch**: If you like, you can add some chopped walnuts or almonds to the salad for extra crunch. - **Make it a meal**: This salad can be served as a light lunch or dinner. Add some grilled chicken or tofu for a protein boost. ### Conclusion Spinach and pear salad with pomegranate dressing is a delicious and refreshing salad that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you are looking for a healthy and delicious salad, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed!
