Time 10m

Yield Makes 4 side portions

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 to 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
Zest of half a lemon
10 ounces spinach leaves (8 to 10 cups)
Pinch sea salt
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes, optional

Steps:

  • Add olive oil, garlic and the lemon zest to a wide skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until the oil is bubbling around the garlic, about 30 seconds. Pile the spinach leaves into the pan and add a generous pinch of salt. Wait about 30 seconds or until the bottom layer of leaves have started to wilt, and then toss the leaves around the pan. Categories     Lunch/Snacks

Time 16m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 teaspoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon, zest of
salt & pepper
1 1/2 lbs fresh spinach, qashed,stems removed

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large pan or wok and saute the garlic until golden.
  • Turn heat to medium and add the lemon juice, zest, salt& pepper& spinach.
  • Stir the spinach until barely wilted.
  • Serve immediately, lifting the spinach out with tongs.
  • Leave the liquid behind.
  • Check your seasoning.

Tips:

  • Fresh spinach: For the best flavor and texture, use fresh spinach with vibrant green leaves and no signs of wilting or yellowing.
  • Proper washing: Thoroughly wash the spinach to remove any dirt or debris. Submerge it in a bowl of cold water, gently swish it around, and then drain it in a colander.
  • Quick cooking: Spinach cooks quickly, so don't overcook it. Overcooked spinach becomes limp and loses its鮮豔的綠色.
  • Seasoning: Add salt and pepper to taste, and consider enhancing the flavor with a squeeze of lemon juice, a sprinkle of garlic powder, or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Serving suggestions: Serve sautéed spinach as a side dish to grilled meats, fish, or tofu. You can also add it to salads, omelets, or pasta dishes for an extra boost of nutrition and color.
