Tips:

  • Use fresh sweet potatoes: Fresh sweet potatoes are more flavorful and have a better texture than older ones. Look for sweet potatoes that are firm and have smooth skin.
  • Cut the sweet potatoes into uniform-sized pieces: This will help them cook evenly. If the pieces are too large, they will take longer to cook and may not cook through evenly.
  • Toss the sweet potato pieces with oil and spices: This will help them crisp up in the oven and develop a delicious flavor. Be sure to use enough oil to coat the potatoes evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: If the sweet potatoes are too crowded, they will not cook evenly. Make sure there is enough space between the pieces so that they can circulate air.
  • Cook the sweet potatoes until they are tender and slightly caramelized: This will take about 30 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces. Keep an eye on them and flip them halfway through cooking so that they cook evenly.
  • Serve the sweet potato fries immediately with your favorite dipping sauce: They are best enjoyed hot and crispy.
  • For the sriracha dip: Simply combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. You can adjust the amount of sriracha to taste, depending on how spicy you like it.

Conclusion:

This recipe for oven-fried sweet potatoes with sriracha dip is a delicious and easy way to enjoy this healthy vegetable. The sweet potatoes are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sriracha dip adds a flavorful kick. This dish is perfect for a snack, side dish, or even a main course. The sriracha dip is also a versatile condiment that can be used with other foods, such as chicken, fish, or vegetables. It is also a great addition to sandwiches and wraps.
