STRAWBERRY FREEZE

Strawberry Freeze image

This is my son's favorite summer treat to make either in the ice cream freezer or into popsicles. If you use frozen strawberries in a blender, you can turn the recipe into a smoothie. Great way to use up leftover buttermilk. When I made it the first few times, I hid the buttermilk so he wouldn't know what was in it!

Tips:

  • To ensure your strawberries are perfectly ripe, look for plump, brightly colored berries with no signs of bruising or mold.
  • Wash your strawberries thoroughly before using them. This will remove any dirt or debris and help prevent the spread of bacteria.
  • If you're using frozen strawberries, thaw them completely before using them. This will help them blend more smoothly and evenly.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar or sweetener to your liking. If you prefer a sweeter popsicle, add more sugar or sweetener. If you prefer a tarter popsicle, use less sugar or sweetener.
  • If you want to add additional flavors to your popsicles, try adding a tablespoon of lemon juice, lime juice, or orange juice. You could also add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or almond extract.
  • For a fun and festive touch, you can garnish your popsicles with sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh fruit.

Conclusion:

Strawberry popsicles are a delicious and refreshing treat that are perfect for summer. They're easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a cool and refreshing snack, give strawberry popsicles a try!
