WHITE RUSSIAN COCKTAIL
The Big Lebowski was onto something with this creamy coffee-flavored cocktail. A healthy dose of vodka in the mix assures that 'the dude abides.'

SUGAR-FREE WHITE RUSSIAN COCKTAIL
White Russians are cocktails of three ingredients: vodka, Kahlua or other coffee liqueur, and cream. From a sugar perspective, the only real problem is the coffee liqueur. A jigger (1.5 oz) of a coffee liqueur can contain almost as much sugar as an 8 oz glass of a cola drink! The good news is that Da Vinci's Sugar-Free Kahlua-flavored syrup tastes quite similar to the real thing (see below for sources). Note: A Black Russian cocktail is simply a White Russian without the cream.

Steps:
- Ingredients: •1 jigger (1.5 oz or 3 tablespoons) vodka (nutritional analysis uses 80 proof) •1 jigger heavy cream (or see proportion variations below) •1 jigger Da Vinci's Sugar-Free Kahlua-Flavored Syrup (sources below) Preparation: There are two main variations in the amounts of the main ingredients of a White Russian. The first has two parts vodka to one part each of the other two ingredients. The other has equal parts of all three. I prefer the latter, so that is the one I am presenting. If I want a cocktail that is less rich, I will substitute water for half of the cream. This would reduce the carbohydrate to half a gram and the calories to 174. To make your White Russian, simple put the ingredients in a glass, stir, and add ice.
