My usual naan recipe calls for milk and an egg, but since I had neither in the house tonight, I improvised. This is a super simple 5-ingredient naan bread and it came out great!

- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add salt and flour. Mix thoroughly. Knead dough on a floured workspace about 20 times and form into a tight ball. Put dough in a well oiled bowl and cover with a damp towel.
- Put in a warm place to rise for 30-45 minutes. Dough won't rise much, but it doesn't need to.
- Turn dough out onto a floured workspace. Divide dough into 8 pieces and roll out with a rolling pin to about 1/8" thick.
- Grill naan pieces on a grill or electric griddle. In a pinch, a frying pan sprayed with some nonstick cooking spray will work. Grill for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- This recipe yields a very soft, chewey naan. Just the way I like it!

- In one bowl mix all ingredients. Will have some lumps and that is ok. As we age those lumps are badges of honor!
- Pour into 2 greased and floured bread loaf pans or 1 loaf pan and 12 muffin cups (lined).
- Cook for 45 minutes at 350°F.
- Muffins 25 minutes at 350°F.
- * Elevation and fuel will vary temps and times. (ex. my propane oven 45 minutes, my DD electric oven 53 min for loaves and similar for muffins).
- ** Tastes great with orange flavor as well, DD made with strawberry cake mix.
- *** NOT as dense as a quick bread but tastes oh so good and light.
- An aditional note: this freezes very well as muffins or bread/cake. I double wrap in plastic and then into a freezer bag. To thaw i take out of freezer bag and let come to room temp, take off plastic and set on paper towels to absorb any excess moisture. To warm just put into a warmed oven or microwave for 30 seconds in a paper towel.

OUTSTANDING BANANA BREAD - SUPER EASY TASTY RECIPE
This is the only banana bread recipe I will use. I have had this recipe for years written on a white paper passed down thru the years thru the family. I'm only posting it online so I never lose it. I know you will enjoy it as much as I have. it's a tad different than most your banana bread recipes as the bread mix is more moist than other recipes.

- Mix together sugar, baking power, baking soda, flour and salt in one bowl.
- In another bowl, mix together lemon juice, milk, eggs, oil, and bananas until well blended and bananas are mashed well.
- Then, mix together the contents of both bowls using a fork or large spoon.
- Your mixture should be similar to a runny cake batter.
- If adding walnuts, stir them in now.
- Pour mixture into bread pans and cook at 350 for 35-45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when poked in the middle.

- When mixing the milk and lemon juice, pour lemon juice in a cup and and add the milk until 2/3 cup is reached.
- I normally have to cook my bread for up to an hour even though my very old recipe states 35 minutes.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a medium sized baking pan, or loaf pan.
- 2. Combine flour and sugar. Add beer, and 3 tablespoons of the melted butter. Stir until well blended. The batter will be very thick and sticky. Pour into the greased baking pan.
- 3. Bake for about 30 minutes; remove from oven and pour remainder of melted butter all over the top of the bread. Return to the oven, and bake for approximately 20 more minutes until beautifully brown.

- 1. In a large mixing bowl combine water, yeast and sugar give it a mix with a spoon and let sit until it foams about 5 minutes. Add flour, salt and oil mix until a dough ball forms. Transfer ball of dough onto flour board and knead until smooth about 10 minutes. Oil a mixing bowl and transfer dough into the mixing ball turning the ball to coat it in oil cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 45 minutes until doubled in size in a warm place.
- 2. After 45 minutes take dough out and put on floured board and punch down and knead for 2 minutes or so. At this point you can divide the dough into 4 balls or 8. I do 4 balls and make 2 loaves out of 2 balls and four rolls out of the other 2. All you do to make the loafs or baguettes is roll the dough into logs. Oil a baking sheet or cover with parchment paper and put formed loaves into the sheets. oil the tops with olive or vegetable oil and cover with plastic wrap. Put sheets in a warm place and let sit for 45 minutes until they double in size again.
- 3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Take plastic sheet off the bread and at this point you can add fresh or dried herbs. Or you can do sesame seeds or even oatmeal or leave them plain. Place baking sheets in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until top is golden brown. Take them out and let them cool down or eat them right away.
