Time 40m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 pork loin chops, 1/2-inch thick
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons oil

Steps:

  • Mix salt, pepper, ginger and flour.
  • Dust chops with mixture.
  • In heavy skillet, brown chops lightly on both sides in hot oil.
  • Lower heat and cook until done, about 20 minutes.

Tips:

  • To ensure the pork chops are cooked evenly throughout, use a meat thermometer to check that they have reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • For a crispy crust on the pork chops, sear them in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side before reducing the heat to medium-low and continuing to cook until done.
  • To add extra flavor to the pork chops, marinate them in a mixture of olive oil, garlic, herbs, and spices for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • If you are using a thicker cut of pork chops, you may need to adjust the cooking time accordingly. Thicker chops may take 10-15 minutes longer to cook through.
  • Serve the pork chops with a variety of sides such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
