Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork. A shoulder or butt roast is a good option because it has a lot of connective tissue that will break down and become tender during cooking.
  • Sear the pork before braising it. This will help to develop flavor and color.
  • Use a flavorful braising liquid. Chicken broth, beef broth, or vegetable broth are all good options. You can also add spices, herbs, and vegetables to the braising liquid for extra flavor.
  • Cook the pork until it is fall-apart tender. This will take at least 2 hours, but it may take longer depending on the size and toughness of the pork roast.
  • Serve the pork with your favorite sides. Mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables are all good options.

Conclusion:

Sweet and spicy shredded pork is a delicious and versatile dish that can be served as a main course or as a sandwich filling. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal taste.
