Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh, flavorful ingredients to make your lasagna the best it can be. Look for high-quality ground beef, Italian sausage, and cheeses.
  • Don't overcook the noodles: Cook the lasagna noodles al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. This will prevent them from becoming mushy in the lasagna.
  • Layer the lasagna properly: Start with a layer of sauce, then noodles, then cheese, and repeat. Be sure to spread the sauce and cheese evenly over each layer.
  • Bake the lasagna covered for the first 30 minutes: This will help the lasagna to cook evenly. After 30 minutes, uncover the lasagna and continue baking until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let the lasagna rest before serving: This will allow the lasagna to set and make it easier to cut and serve.
