Time 50m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 15

½ pound ground beef
½ pound ground pork
1 ½ cups Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
¾ cup milk, divided
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1 clove garlic, minced
1 ½ teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
⅛ teaspoon ground allspice
2 tablespoons salted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups low-sodium beef broth
1 dash Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F (245 degrees C).
  • Combine ground beef, pork, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup milk, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and allspice in a large bowl; mix until just combined. Use a rounded 1-tablespoon measure to form mixture into meatballs. Place meatballs on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and cooked through, 10 to 12 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through.
  • While the meatballs are baking, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add flour. Cook, whisking constantly, for about 1 minute, being careful not to burn or brown the flour. Gradually whisk in the remaining milk and broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce has thickened slightly, 2 to 3 minutes. Add Worcestershire sauce to taste and remove from the heat.
  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rapid boil. Cook egg noodles at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, 7 to 9 minutes.
  • Drain any grease from the meatballs. Add meatballs to sauce; toss gently to coat. Turn on lowest heat to warm. Add milk or water to thin sauce if too thick.
  • Drain egg noodles and serve immediately topped with sauce, meatballs, and parsley.

1 lb ground turkey
1 (1 1/16 ounce) package teriyaki seasoning (Grill Mates by McCormick)
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten

1 lb medium egg noodles
green bell pepper, sliced
red bell pepper, sliced
canned pineapple (optional)

Steps:

  • You may just as easily pan fry the meatballs and skip the baking process!
  • Mix bread crumbs and slightly beaten egg to moisten.
  • Add seasoning mix to the turkey burger (you may use 1/2 the package of seasoning or just increase the meat by a pound or two if you want to use the entire package -otherwise meatballs are VERY spicy).

Categories     One Dish Meal

Time 4h15m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cream of celery soup
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans condensed French onion soup
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
6 lbs frozen italian-style meatballs
2 (16 ounce) packages uncooked egg noodles
1/2 cup butter

Steps:

  • In a large slow cooker, mix together the cream of celery soup, French onion soup, and sour cream. Stir in the meatballs. Cook on high heat for 3-4 hours.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. In a large bowl, toss the pasta with butter. Serve meatballs and sauce over the cooked pasta.

Tips:

  • Use a combination of ground meats. This will give your meatballs a more complex flavor and texture. Ground beef and pork is a classic combination, but you can also try using ground turkey, chicken, or lamb.
  • Don't overmix the meatball mixture. Overmixing will make the meatballs tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are combined.
  • Chill the meatball mixture for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This will help the meatballs hold their shape.
  • Cook the meatballs in a hot oven. This will help them brown and cook through evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the meatballs. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Make sure the meatballs are cooked through before serving. The internal temperature of the meatballs should be at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve the meatballs over your favorite noodles. You can use spaghetti, linguine, or even ramen noodles.
  • Top the meatballs with your favorite sauce. Tangy tomato sauce, creamy Alfredo sauce, or even a simple marinara sauce would all be delicious.

Conclusion:

Tangy meatballs over noodles is a classic dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With a few simple ingredients and a little time, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will love. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight dinner, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
