Tips:
- Use frozen tater tots: Fresh tater tots can be used, but frozen tater tots are easier to work with and will hold their shape better in the casserole.
- Thaw the corn: If using frozen corn, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for about an hour before using.
- Use a large casserole dish: This recipe makes a lot of casserole, so be sure to use a large casserole dish that is at least 9x13 inches.
- Don't overcook the casserole: The casserole is done when the tater tots are golden brown and the corn is heated through. Overcooking will make the casserole dry and tough.
- Serve immediately: Tater tot corn casserole is best served immediately after it is cooked. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Conclusion:
Tater tot corn casserole is a classic comfort food dish that is perfect for potlucks, picnics, and family gatherings. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With its crispy tater tots, sweet corn, and creamy sauce, this casserole is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it!
