TERIYAKI CHICKEN TOSS WITH SPAGHETTINI PASTA

Teriyaki Chicken Toss With Spaghettini Pasta image

This is bar none the best stir fry I have ever tasted! All the credit goes to Sandy Richard and her cookbook Life's on Fire Cooking for the Rushed. I have strayed slightly from the original recipe but all for the sake of taste. The one thing that I'm a bit of a stickler on is that you use the V-H brand of honey-garlic sauce. If you're in an area that doesn't carry it use your choice of the next best brand.

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken: For best results, use boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts. They're more flavorful and tender than chicken breasts.
  • Tenderize the chicken: To make the chicken extra tender, marinate it in a mixture of soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger for at least 30 minutes.
  • Cook the chicken properly: Be sure to cook the chicken all the way through, but don't overcook it. Overcooked chicken will be dry and tough.
  • Make the teriyaki sauce ahead of time: You can make the teriyaki sauce up to 3 days in advance. Simply store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Use fresh vegetables: Fresh vegetables will give your dish the best flavor. If you can't find fresh vegetables, you can use frozen vegetables instead.
  • Cook the vegetables al dente: Don't overcook the vegetables. They should be tender but still have a bit of a crunch.
  • Serve the dish immediately: Teriyaki chicken toss with spaghettini pasta is best served immediately after it's made. The sauce will thicken as it cools, so if you want to make it ahead of time, be sure to reheat it before serving.

Conclusion:

Teriyaki chicken toss with spaghettini pasta is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for a weeknight meal. It's also a great way to use up leftover chicken. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a meal that your whole family will love.
