Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for potato wedges, as they are dense and hold their shape well during baking. Yukon Gold and red potatoes can also be used, but they may not be as crispy.
  • Cut the potatoes evenly: This will ensure that they cook evenly. Aim for wedges that are about 1-inch thick.
  • Season the potato wedges well: Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. You can also add other seasonings, such as paprika, chili powder, or cumin.
  • Toss the potato wedges in oil: This will help them crisp up in the oven. You can use olive oil, vegetable oil, or avocado oil.
  • Bake the potato wedges at a high temperature: This will help them get crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Bake them at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender.
  • Serve the potato wedges hot: They are best enjoyed when they are fresh out of the oven. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing, ketchup, or barbecue sauce.

Conclusion:

Texas potato wedges are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. They are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and full of flavor. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make these delicious potato wedges at home.
