a large pinch hot chilli powder

200ml tequila
150ml blood orange juice (freshly squeezed)
1 lime, juiced
100ml triple sec

Steps:

  • Tip the sea salt flakes, sugar and chilli powder onto a plate and mix. Run a blood orange slice over the rims of four glasses, then dip them in the salt and sugar mixture. Fill the glasses with lots of crushed ice.
  • In a bowl or jug, mix together the tequila, orange juice, lime juice and triple sec, add some ice and stir really well until chilled. Strain into the four glasses and serve with a blood orange slice or wedge on the rims.
