Time 5m

Yield 1 1/2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable broth or 1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 scallion, chopped

Steps:

  • In a bowl, whisk the peanut butter, vegetable broth and soy sauce until smooth.
  • Stir in the remaining ingredients.
  • Dip away.

Tips:

  • Use creamy peanut butter: Creamy peanut butter will give you a smoother dip. If you only have chunky peanut butter, you can blend it until smooth in a food processor or blender.
  • Add some heat: If you like your dip spicy, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes. You can also add some chopped jalapeños or serrano peppers.
  • Use fresh lime juice: Fresh lime juice will give your dip a brighter flavor. If you don't have fresh lime juice, you can use bottled lime juice, but it won't be as good.
  • Don't overcook the garlic and ginger: Garlic and ginger can easily burn, so be careful not to overcook them. Cook them over low heat until they are fragrant and softened.
  • Taste the dip as you go: The best way to make sure your dip is perfect is to taste it as you go. Adjust the seasonings to your liking.

Conclusion:

Thai peanut dip is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used as a dip for vegetables, chicken, shrimp, or tofu. It can also be used as a marinade or a dressing. The best part about this dip is that it is very easy to make. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a delicious and flavorful dip that will be the hit of your next party.
