Garnish: fresh basil or coriander (cilantro)
For the Stir-Fry Sauce:
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice (or more to taste)
3 tablespoons soy sauce (or more to taste)
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
1 tablespoon fish sauce (or more to taste)
1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons sugar (or more to taste)

1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon dried crushed chili (chili flakes or fresh-cut red chili; or more to taste)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.

  • Heat a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the oil and swirl around, then stir-fry the garlic, galangal or ginger, and shallot for 1 minute.

Tips:

  • Use fresh vegetables: Fresh vegetables will give your pad Thai noodles the best flavor and texture. Try to use a variety of colors and textures, such as carrots, bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas.
  • Soak the rice noodles: Soaking the rice noodles before cooking them will help them to soften and become more pliable. This will make them easier to stir-fry and less likely to break.
  • Use a hot wok or large skillet: A hot wok or large skillet will help to sear the noodles and vegetables quickly, giving them a nice smoky flavor.
  • Stir-fry the noodles and vegetables in batches: If you overcrowd the wok or skillet, the noodles and vegetables will not cook evenly. Stir-fry them in batches, if necessary.
  • Add the sauce just before serving: The sauce is what gives pad Thai noodles their characteristic flavor. Add it just before serving, so that the noodles do not absorb too much of the sauce and become soggy.

Conclusion:

Pad Thai noodles are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a quick and healthy meal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious pad Thai noodle dish that your whole family will love. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy meal, give pad Thai noodles a try!
