CHICKEN BACON RANCH SALAD

Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad image

I always seem to have leftover cooked chicken. This simple, tasty salad is a great use of your leftover chicken, either white meat, dark meat, or a combination! Romaine lettuce, cooked chicken, avocado, and cherry tomatoes combine with ranch dressing, and everything is topped off with crunchy bacon. Use purchased ranch salad dressing, or stir up one of the buttermilk dressing recipes on the site. Enjoy for a hearty lunch with some crackers, or for dinner, with a crusty bread. This recipe is proportioned for one person, but it's easy to double or triple for your needs.

Tips:

  • Use fresh and ripe fruits: Fresh fruits will give your salad a better flavor and texture. If you are using canned fruits, drain them well and rinse them before using.
  • Choose your Jell-O flavor wisely: The flavor of Jell-O you use will determine the overall flavor of your salad. If you are using a fruit salad, choose a Jell-O flavor that complements the fruits you are using. If you are using a vegetable salad, choose a Jell-O flavor that is savory, such as chicken or beef broth.
  • Don't over-sweeten the salad: Jell-O is already sweet, so you don't need to add a lot of additional sugar. If you are using fresh fruits, you may not need to add any sugar at all. If you are using canned fruits, you may want to add a little bit of sugar to balance out the tartness of the fruit.
  • Chill the salad thoroughly before serving: This will help the Jell-O to set and will make the salad more refreshing.

Conclusion:

Thanksgiving Jell-O salad is a classic holiday side dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its vibrant colors and refreshing flavor, this salad is sure to be a hit at your next holiday gathering. So next time you're looking for a festive and delicious side dish, give Thanksgiving Jell-O salad a try.
