Tips:
- Use a heavy-duty mixer: Making toffee requires a lot of stirring, so you'll need a mixer that can handle the job. A stand mixer is ideal for this task.
- Be patient: Making toffee takes time and patience. It's important to let the mixture cook slowly and not rush the process.
- Use a candy thermometer: A candy thermometer is essential for making toffee. It will help you to ensure that the mixture reaches the correct temperature.
- Use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat: This will help to prevent the toffee from sticking to the pan.
- Be careful when pouring the hot toffee: Toffee is very hot when it is first made, so be careful not to burn yourself. Use a heat-resistant spatula to pour the toffee into the pan.
Conclusion:
Toffee-topped bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a batch of these delicious bars that will be sure to impress your friends and family.
