TURKEY AND BROWN RICE CASSEROLE
This recipe tastes rich, but has very little fat. *After reading Annacia's review I realized, she is right and wanted to mention that if using chicken or all white meat turkey, chicken broth would be the best choice. When I use beef broth, I use Imagine Organic Beef Broth, which has a mild, more subtle taste than other beef broths and I always use dark and light turkey meat.*

Tips:
- Choose the right rice. Long-grain brown rice is the best choice for this casserole because it holds its shape well and doesn't get too mushy.
- Cook the rice properly. Be sure to rinse the rice well before cooking to remove any starch. Then, cook the rice according to the package directions.
- Use a variety of vegetables. This recipe calls for carrots, celery, and onion, but you can use any vegetables you like. Some other good options include broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, and mushrooms.
- Don't overcook the turkey. The turkey should be cooked through, but not dry. The best way to tell if the turkey is done is to insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Use a creamy sauce. The creamy sauce in this casserole is what really makes it special. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own. If you're making your own sauce, be sure to use a good quality cheese.
- Top with bread crumbs. The bread crumbs add a nice crispy texture to the casserole. You can use store-bought bread crumbs or make your own by toasting and then crushing bread cubes.
Conclusion:
Turkey and brown rice casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for a weeknight meal. It's also a great way to use up leftover turkey after Thanksgiving or Christmas. So next time you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, give this casserole a try. You won't be disappointed!
