Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ground turkey. Look for ground turkey that is fresh and has a lean-to-fat ratio of 80/20 or 90/10. This will ensure that your brats are juicy and flavorful.
  • Use a variety of seasonings. Don't be afraid to experiment with different herbs and spices to create your own unique bratwurst flavor. Some popular options include garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, and cayenne pepper.
  • Don't overmix the meat. Overmixing the meat will make the brats tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Stuff the brats loosely. If you stuff the brats too tightly, they will burst when they are cooked. Leave a little bit of space between the meat and the casing.
  • Cook the brats thoroughly. Turkey brats should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. You can cook them on the grill, in a pan, or in the oven.
