Tips:

  • Use high-quality butter: The quality of the butter you use will greatly impact the taste of your butter rollouts. Look for unsalted butter with a fat content of at least 82%.
  • Keep your butter cold: Cold butter is easier to work with and will produce flakier rollouts. Make sure to chill your butter for at least 30 minutes before using.
  • Laminate the dough: Laminating the dough is a technique that creates layers of butter and dough. This results in a flaky, tender rollout. To laminate the dough, roll it out into a rectangle, spread a thin layer of butter over the surface, and then fold the dough into thirds. Repeat this process several times.
  • Chill the dough between rollouts: Chilling the dough between rollouts helps to prevent the butter from melting and the dough from becoming too sticky. This will make it easier to work with and produce a better final product.
  • Bake the rollouts at a high temperature: Baking the rollouts at a high temperature will help to create a crispy exterior and a tender interior. Bake the rollouts for 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Vanilla butter rollouts are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. By following these tips, you can make sure that your butter rollouts turn out perfectly every time. So next time you're looking for a sweet snack, give vanilla butter rollouts a try!
