Tips:
- Choose the right potatoes: Russet potatoes are the best choice for tater tots, as they have a high starch content that makes them fluffy and crispy.
- Shred the potatoes finely: This will help the tater tots hold their shape better.
- Season the potatoes well: Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste.
- Chill the potato mixture before forming the tater tots: This will help them keep their shape even better.
- Use a large enough air fryer basket: You don't want to overcrowd the basket, or the tater tots won't cook evenly.
- Cook the tater tots in batches if necessary: If your air fryer basket is small, you may need to cook the tater tots in batches.
- Serve the tater tots immediately: They're best when they're hot and crispy.
