For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt or a mixture of mayonnaise and yogurt. - Add chopped fresh herbs like dill, chives, or mint for an extra layer of flavor and freshness. - Experiment with different types of cheese, such as crumbled feta, grated Parmesan, or shredded cheddar, to add a unique twist. - For a crunchy texture, add chopped walnuts, almonds, or sunflower seeds. For a smoky flavor, use roasted almonds or pecans. - Serve the pea salad chilled for a refreshing side dish or a light lunch option. - If making the salad ahead of time, do not add the dressing until just before serving to prevent the peas from becoming soggy.
