WARM APPLE CRISP
With Fall right around the corner,I thought I would share with you my favorite recipe for apple crisp. I know that their are several posted but this is just to good not to list. It mixes together very easily, keeps well, and the top stays crisp. It also can be doubled,by baking in a 9 by 13 pan. Its a favorite among our family and friends, and I have had several requests for this recipe. It is so delicious served with icecream, or just on its own. The crunchy topping adds to the sweetness and compliments the apples. Its a wonderful Fall dessert.

Opening a couple of cans of fruit for a dessert suites me fine. The taste is terrific. Leftovers are good cold or can be heated up in the microwave. Don't forget the cheese. It adds a texture and taste that compliment the apples.

Tips:
- Choose the right apples: Use a variety of apples that hold their shape when baked, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn. Cortland and Pink Lady apples are commonly used as well.
- Slice the apples thinly: This will help them cook evenly and become tender.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing will make the crisp tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the crisp until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling: This usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
- Serve the crisp warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream: This will make the crisp even more delicious.
Conclusion:
French apple crisp is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its sweet and tart apples, crunchy oat topping, and creamy vanilla ice cream, this dish is sure to satisfy everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy dessert, give French apple crisp a try. You won't be disappointed.
