CROCK POT HOT WHOLE GRAIN CEREAL

Crock Pot Hot Whole Grain Cereal image

I have really been getting into hot cereals lately. This is a good one, cause you just put the cereal in the crock pot, and let it do the work! All these grains go into the crock pot uncooked. The proportions are critical in this recipe. Use any combination of whole grains you would like, as long as the total equals one cup, for every three cups of water used.

  • Use a slow cooker liner: This will make cleanup a breeze. Just lift the liner out of the slow cooker and discard it.
  • Add your favorite toppings: Once the cereal is cooked, you can add your favorite toppings such as fruit, nuts, seeds, and spices.
  • Experiment with different flavors: You can add different spices, extracts, or flavorings to the cereal while it is cooking. This will give it a unique flavor that you will love.
