Tips:

  • Choose the right flour: Whole wheat flour is a good source of fiber and nutrients, but it can be tricky to work with. For best results, use a bread flour that is specifically designed for making bread.
  • Use warm water: Warm water helps the yeast to activate and rise. The ideal temperature for the water is between 105 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Knead the dough properly: Kneading the dough helps to develop the gluten, which gives the bread its structure. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough needs to rise in a warm place in order to double in size. The ideal temperature for rising is between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
