1 medium orange, finely zested, divided
1 crystallized ginger
¼ cup chopped pecans

Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen cranberries: Fresh cranberries are best, but frozen cranberries are a good option if you can't find fresh ones.
  • Don't overcook the sauce: Cranberry sauce should be cooked until the cranberries are softened and have burst, but it should not be cooked until it is mushy.
  • Add sweetness to taste: The amount of sugar you add to your cranberry sauce will depend on your personal preference. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Add spices to taste: Common spices used in cranberry sauce include cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. You can also add other spices, such as ginger or allspice, to taste.
  • Let the sauce cool before serving: Cranberry sauce is best served cold, so let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
