Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh asparagus spears that are thin and tender.
  • If you don't have sesame seeds, you can substitute poppy seeds or chopped nuts.
  • You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to taste. If you like a spicy marinade, add more flakes. If you prefer a milder flavor, use less.
  • Be sure to marinate the asparagus for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than overnight. This will allow the flavors to meld and penetrate the asparagus.
  • When grilling the asparagus, be sure to preheat the grill to medium-high heat. This will help to prevent the asparagus from sticking to the grill grates.
  • Cook the asparagus for 3-4 minutes per side, or until it is tender and slightly charred.
  • Serve the asparagus immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

This Asian marinated asparagus recipe is a quick and easy way to prepare a delicious and healthy side dish. The marinade infuses the asparagus with a flavorful blend of soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. The asparagus can be grilled, roasted, or sautéed, making it a versatile dish that can be enjoyed as part of a variety of meals.
