1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup barbeque sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1 cup water

Steps:

1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (28 ounces) tomato sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder

Hot dog buns, split

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 large onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced

1 medium onion
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons italian seasoning

1 (46 ounce) bottle spicy hot V8

Steps:

  • In a large sauce pan brown onion in the oil. Add spicy v-8 (half of the bottle to start), raw hamburger, Italian seasoning, and garlic. Mash ingredients together with a potato masher and cook stirring consistently on medium high heat until hamburger turns brown. Turn heat down to simmer and simmer for 45 minutes (or longer depending on your time). Add more v-8 depending on your desired consistency throughout the cooking process.
