Steps:
- Grease shallow baking pan. Boil potatoes or yams in the skins until soft. Remove and cool. Peel and slice crosswise slices about 1 1/2 inches thick. Place in baking dish and dot with butter or margarine. Combine sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt and sprinkle over potatoes. Pour brandy or sherry over all and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
