- Combine the paprika, pepper, 1/2 tsp. salt, sugar, garlic powder and 1/4 tsp. sage; sprinkle onto steaks on both sides., Broil steaks 4 in. from the heat for 7-9 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°)., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Add brown sugar and remaining salt; saute 1 minute longer. , In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the potatoes, cheese and remaining sage. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 2-3 minutes or until heated through. Serve with steaks and onion.
