Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk, at room temperature
1/2 cup molasses
1 cup dark raisin

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  • Spoon into a well-greased and lightly floured 8x4 inch loaf tin.
  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Set bread aside for 30 minutes.
  • Bake 45 minutes, or until done.
  • Cool, and remove from tin, cooling completely.
