"CANNED FRUIT SALAD" COBBLER

My dear friend Linda in Chicago, Ill. submitted this recipe for The Messiah Lutheran Church, Ladies Guild Cookbook. Using a can of fruit salad, or any canned fruit of you choice. Peaches, apples, berries etc. It is a very fast and easy recipe, and sure to please all.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 c self rising flour
1 c sugar
1 c milk
1/3 tsp cinnamon
1/3 tsp allspice or nutmeg
1 stick butter
1 can(s) canned fruit salad --- or any canned fruit

Steps:

  • 1. Mix flour,sugar, milk, cinnamon.and spice together. Melt butter in a 9x12 baking dish. Pour in batter , then drop in fruit around the batter. Do not touch or mix anymore. Bake in 350F oven for 40 minutes.
  • 2. Check out Just A Pinch recipe site, to convert plain flour into self rising flour. Type in: Freda Gable substitute for self rising flour
