Caraway Noodles image

A simple side dish that is great with German food. From Bon Appetit, February 1995.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 lb egg noodles, 1/2-inch wide
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp caraway seeds
2 Tbsp parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Cook noodles in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite. Drain well.
  • 2. Melt butter in same large pot.
  • 3. Add noodles and caraway seeds and toss to coat.
  • 4. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 5. Transfer to plates.
  • 6. Sprinkle with parsley.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my noodles turned out mushy. I followed the recipe exactly, but they just didn't come out right.

These noodles were good, but not great. I found the flavor to be a bit bland. I think I would have liked them better if I had added more caraway seeds.
