Cavatini image

I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. This dish is one of my husband's all time favorite dishes. It's such a major hit with my family so I thought I would share!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb ground beef or turkey
3 types of pasta (regular or whole wheat), 1 cup each.
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
15 1/2 oz spaghetti sauce
6 oz pepperoni
1 pkg mozz. cheese
1 container of cottage cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Brown beef, onions and peppers. Cook until onions are clear, drain. While beef is cooking cook the pasta.
  • 2. Once the beef is browned, add the spaghetti sauce and the pepperoni. Drain pasta and mix with meat sauce.
  • 3. Mix mozz. cheese and cottage cheese together.
  • 4. Put down a layer of noodles and beef, then a layer of cheese. Then the rest of the noodles and beef. While doing all of this, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • 5. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
