Cheeseburger Rice Skillet image

Ground beef, zucchini, tomatoes and rice are sautéed to perfection.

1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon butter
2 zucchini, sliced 1/2-inch thick
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
2 cups water
1 (5.5 ounce) package Knorr® Rice Sides™ - Beef flavor
2 tomatoes, diced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef in skillet over medium to medium-high heat, stirring to crumble. Transfer browned beef to a bowl.
  • Melt butter the same skillet; add zucchini and saute until just slightly softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Return ground beef to skillet along with dried onions, water, Knorr® Rice SidesTM- Beef, chopped tomatoes, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook for 7 minutes. Top with cheese. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.

I thought this recipe was just okay. The beef was a little dry, and the rice was a bit bland. I think I'll try a different cheeseburger skillet recipe next time.

This cheeseburger skillet was a huge hit with my family! The beef was cooked perfectly, and the cheese was melted and gooey. The rice was also nice and fluffy. I loved that this dish was so easy to make, and it was a great way to use up some leftover
