Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease 9x5 loaf pan; set aside Whisk the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. Drain the cherries reserving the juice. Add the eggs and reserved cherry juice to the flour mixture; mix well. Fold the cherries (keep them whole) and nuts into batter. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake 45 minutes until top springs back when lightly touched. Cool thoroughly on a wire rack before slicing to serve.
