Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 13x9" pan and dust with flour; set aside. Combine cake mix and sugar in a large bowl and blend well. Add butter and eggs and mix until batter forms. By hand, stir dates and nuts into batter. Spread in prepared pan. Bake bars at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes until edges turn golden brown. Cool 10 minutes, then run knife around edges of pan to loosen sides. Cool 1 hour and then cut into bars.
