- Buried Cherry Treasures: Prepare cookie dough as directed. Roll in powdered sugar and place a maraschino cherry in the center of each cookie. Bake as directed. Drizzle with cherry glaze. For glaze, stir together 1/3 cup powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies. Coconut & Macadamia Nut Cookies: Prepare cookie dough as directed, adding 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts. Roll cookie dough in shredded coconut in place of powdered sugar. Bake as directed. Peppermint Crackles: Prepare cookie dough as directed, adding 2 teaspoons peppermint extract. Roll in powdered sugar and bake as directed. Top with crushed peppermint candy immediately after removing from the oven.
